If Johnnie and Ponyboy hadn’t run away and were caught what could the consequences be and would pony be able to stay together if he wasn’t going to jail. Why was dally so close to Johnnie, Dally was big and strong while Johnnie was small and scared.
I think that if Ponyboy and Johnny had not run away Johnny would have been taken off to jail and I think Ponyboy would have been taken to a boys home. I think when Peter says would pony be able to stay together if he wasn’t going to jail; I think that he means would Ponyboy, Darry, and Soda be able to stay together. I think that Soda would also have to go to a boys home. Darry is too old do he wouldn’t have to go. I think that Dally was so close to Johnny because he is so little compared to Dally and he is hard not to love.

If Johnny and Ponyboy didn’t run away, they would probably be sent to the jail or the “boys home” which is kind of like an orphanage.
